 When Martin, Herman & Nathan Root opened the doors of Root Brothers to the community in 1923, they had one basic belief in mind: that only by serving the customer on a very close basis can they provide the customer the service that they deserve.
Located near the historic Pullman district in what is now the Roseland community of Chicago, Root Brothers Manufacturing and Supply Company was built on the foundation of hard work, traditional values and excellent service. As the needs of our customers increased, Root Brothers expanded its hardware and contractor supply services to better suit their clients needs. Today Root Brothers has over 80,000sqft of warehouse area holding more than 240,000 sku?s in stock and ready for shipment. And with two-a-day UPS pickups as well as daily LTL shipments, we are able to ship your orders to you within 36 hours.
As the needs of modern industry advanced, so did Root Brothers ability to service those requirements. Seventy ?five years of experience in dealing with different manufacturers enables Root Brothers to provide our customers with a large and varied base to suit their requirements. Plus, our solid financial reputation allows us to develop new vendors. Numerous shelf items in our general service area provide walk-ins with convenient shipping and available will-call pickups. Our staff of employees have over 150 years of combined experience, many with over 20 years at Root Brothers.
As an active and responsible member of the community, we are involved in work training programs with the Chicago Vocational School as well as local trade schools.
Community involvement, excellent service and traditional values: these are what Root Brothers was founded on nearly a century ago. Since then, our 3rd generation has assumed responsibility for the company, following the original values and bringing them into the internet age.
